A preview: Woe to those who never questioned the comfort.
Who never tested the spirits.
Who never paused to ask:

“Is this really from God — or just familiar?”

Woe to those who followed the crowd, the party, the platform,
and never opened the Book.

I do not want to stand before the Lord and hear Him ask:

“Why did you champion this evil?
Why did you excuse this destruction?
Why did you stay silent while they twisted My name into a slogan?
Why did you defend what I came to destroy?”

I don’t want to explain why I aligned with the very system that pierced His hands.
I don’t want to explain why I chose party over prophecy.
Why I waved a flag while ignoring the cries of the broken.
Why I quoted the Constitution more than the Scripture.
Why I stood for nationalism but never fell to my knees in repentance.

I don’t want to be the one who allowed those to manipulate His Word
—to get votes
—to fill churches
—to gain followers
—to protect an empire that God is about to judge.

“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

Please know that this is not an attack on any one leader. It’s on all of them, but more importantly, on us. On me. For not waking up sooner and realizing that there isn’t anyone looking out for us except God. He works for us. Not our elected officials. He somehow makes it work, and thank God that He does! So please don’t think this is a radical assumption; in my opinion, it is very rational. I did the same thing to the last guy we had, didn’t we all? So why don’t we hold this guy accountable as well?

Because the thing about it, we think God puts these political people to protect us. We say that He won’t allow people who are elected to pull the wool over our eyes. Isn’t it more likely that God just allows things to happen and doesn’t allow them to harm us? Because He intercedes for us! Plus God Himself will allow us to be deceived if we allow ourselves to be deceived. Read this verse here: ‘And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ‘ – 2 Thessalonians 2:11

Do we not remember pretty much what Jesus talked about, describing a politician in today’s terms? A wolf in sheep’s clothing. It’s on every side. 

We would have said that about Biden, said that about Obama. So why aren’t we doing the same thing here? Are we actually taking a look? Are we looking as hard as we did during Biden’s administration to see that the economy wasn’t better, to see all the blame because, you know, it was bad? So why aren’t we doing the same now? Because to be honest, now I am analyzing as I did during Biden’s, but it just seems to me… Why didn’t I do that to begin with?

If you think I am being radical, please know I come with love. I wrote this before I watched this sermon below, and Mr. Graham is saying the same thing.

Here is Billy Graham, America, Is the Handwriting on the Wall.

That was in 1973… 52 years ago. 

I know this essay may seem anti-American, but it’s not. I know it may seem anti-world, anti-people, but it’s not. It’s anti-hypocrisy. It’s anti to the argument of classifying ourselves as a Christian nation, yet we don’t uphold ourselves and our elected officials to live that way. I’m tired of the fact that we vote for people because they’re “going to do things”.  Yet, we don’t hold them accountable to actually follow through when they do get into office. Have we not come to terms with the fact that everything in this world deceives?

I’m “anti” to the fact that we champion that we are a Christian nation, yet almost 90% of what we do in the world is not Christian. And yes, I would love for us to be a Christian nation, but I also know that we are living in a fallen world, and in a fallen nation ruled by men who are inherently fallen. So I guess my question is, why are we so hypocritical to the fact that we want God to come back, yet we don’t want to change our country in a way that reflects Him? We want to change our country in a way that seems popular by the people who have all the right talking points, but they don’t implement them in the right ways. They don’t implement it in a Christ-like way. They don’t do the things that Christ would do. They don’t help the poor and the needy. They just enrich themselves. And that’s what I’m anti. I’m anti to the fact that people can’t realize that every single thing that we champion in this country, on the ground level, never turns out to be that way. And so why are we rallying behind these elected officials, on each side, in the fact that we think that they are going to do it? I’m anti that. I’m anti the way that America is now. I’m not anti-America. I’m anti where we are. But I’m pro of where we should be.

Scriptures to be aware of when reading this.

Isaiah 29:13 – “These people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me…”

Jeremiah 7:4–7 – The people cry “The temple of the LORD!” while committing injustice and trusting in lies.

Amos 5:21–24 – God rejects religious festivals when justice is absent: “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

Matthew 23:27-28 – Jesus condemns leaders as “whitewashed tombs” — outwardly righteous, inwardly corrupt.

Micah 3:11 – “Her rulers judge for a bribe, her priests teach for pay… yet they lean on the LORD and say, ‘Is not the LORD among us?’”

Matthew 7:21 – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom…”

Section I: What Happened to Us?

We put being a Republican or Democrat above being a Christian.
Our family discussions gear more toward political talk and arguments than praising God.
We revere the flag more than the cross.

You know, there are a lot of parallels between Rome and America.
Both had tumultuous beginnings — slavery, oppression, thriving periods, widespread influence, military dominance, fiscal exuberance, factions, uprisings, good and bad leaders.

And then, unlike America at this point, an end.

Rome is spoken of in Daniel as the beast, unlike any other, and is exceedingly terrifying and dreadful.
It makes you wonder.
You know, the Romans would have thought they weren’t all that bad in the moment, too.

That isn’t to say that Rome didn’t do good for the world and God.
Without Rome, technological innovations wouldn’t have happened like concrete, aqueducts and water engineering, sewage and sanitation, road construction with over 250,000 miles built, heating systems, and measurement tools.
And the grand jewel of them all, their legal system.
Those technological innovations, especially their roads, allowed the gospel to spread on a remarkable scale.

The Roman Empire led to the Gospel being spread enormously across the world. Paul used it to provide the Gospel to thousands of people.

The same goes for America. America was a massive influence for the spread of the Gospel as well. Charles Spurgeon, Billy Graham, Tony Evans, Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Michael W. Smith, and many, many more. And also technology.
We’ve had electrical power, the telephone, the Internet, space flight and moon landing, the personal computer, mass engineering with the assembly line.
The synergy with inner innovation and communication allowed the gospel to be spread at levels unseen in history.

Just like Rome, America has played an integral role in spreading God’s word.
But like Rome, Greece, Persia, and Babylon, and every single empire in history, man corrupts it.

I Think Back Often to Samuel

Samuel interceded for the Israelites to ask God for a king.
In 1 Samuel, Israel asked for a king after Samuel, the judge on behalf of Israel, had appointed his sons as judges over Israel — Joel and Abi’ah.

1 Samuel 8:3 says:

"His sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after gain, took bribes, and perverted judgment."

So the elders of Israel came to Samuel and asked for a king to judge us, like all the nations.
And this displeased Samuel. So Samuel asked God, and God said:

"Obey them, for they have not rejected you, Samuel, but have rejected Me from being King over them."

God told Samuel to warn them and show them how a king would reign over them.
Samuel said:

“He will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots to be his horsemen, appoint commanders of thousands and fifties, some to plow his ground and others to reap his harvest and to make weapons for war.
He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers.
He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants.
He will take a tenth of your grain, your servants, the best of your young men, and put them to work.
He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves.”

And this is big — he says:

"In that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day."

The Mistake That Leads Us to Today

The people refused to obey the voice of Samuel, saying:

"No. But there shall be a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles."

So God said to Samuel:

"Go, make them a king."

Now there are interesting parallels and contrasts between them and us.

I will step on toes here, so take “this stepping on toes”  as this: a gentle shaking on the shoulder to wake up.

When the first Puritans under John Winthrop came over in 1630 to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, his speech aboard the Arbella said:

“For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us.”

Some may say, “Well, America isn’t Israel.”

“So America isn’t under the same scrutiny.”  But remember that God ordains and puts everything into place. Every nation, every leader, every system. Without Him, it does not get done. And while those nations, leaders, and systems may not reflect Him, He uses them to protect His people and to share His love with the world.

And don’t some people claim that America is God’s chosen?
That the eagle in Revelation speaks of America?

It’s not.
It’s an allusion to Genesis, and God saving the Israelites out of Egypt into the desert. 

We also talk about American exceptionalism — the leading nation of the world, the Christian nation.
So we can’t take those arguments as a badge of honor and not reflect on those values to see if we have held up to those self-imposed standards.

Do We Not Do the Same Thing?

When we rally behind political figures, are we not doing what Israel did to Samuel?
Israel had seen and acquired the fruits of their covenant with God — yet they rejected Him in favor of being ruled by man.

Do we not do the same thing?

From our inception, not just as a nation, but as a colony, America has claimed to be God’s force for good in the world.
And it has.

But like Israel, God doesn’t allow us to reap His benefits and then throw them away when we are done.

No Matter What You Think, America Doesn’t Have a Clean Record

This country was founded upon exploitation.
Taxes were higher after the Revolutionary War.
The rich still owned the lands and the means of production, most of which were slaves.

We then stole land from the Native Americans — killing over 5 million after 1776, seizing over 60 million acres through broken treaties, war, and genocide.

I have read about Lewis and Clark and the mission they went on.
And like everything with man, it had an awesome purpose.
But a dark and chilling underbelly — spelled out by Thomas Jefferson and leaders themselves. Literally. I have read the letters.

By 1860, 12% of the population was enslaved.
It wasn’t an afterthought, but in the Constitution — Article 1, Section 2 — counted slaves as 3/5 of a person.

Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, and Jackson — all didn’t want the responsibility of undertaking this massive injustice, even while they owned slaves.

Then, after the Civil War, slaves were free.
But that power that the slaveowners had? It never faded.

You had black codes, lynchings, sharecropping (a.k.a. slavery, EVEN WITH WHITE PEOPLE), and Jim Crow laws until the 1960s.
Not to mention the whitewashing — or the cover-up of dirt — called the “Lost Cause Myth,” portraying the Confederacy as noble.

I know that could ignite people down here in the South.
But go watch the official documentaries.

See the pictures. The teachings. The way that it was in everything, the ideology that a man of dark color was worthless when compared to a man of white color.
See the horrors. The way they lynched men, women, and children. All for the name of hate. That is not Jesus; it is the devil.

We have to see that everything in history isn’t judged on whether it was okay by man’s moral standards. It’s judged as if it were by God’s standards.

Just my opinion, but would Jesus not fault America?

I wrote this on August 1. There’s a whole bunch more that I could add. But instead of me saying it, here’s Billy Graham, aka his wife, how cool is that!

And Then the Boom… and the Fall

Then we had the boom of the industrial revolution — the robber barons and greed.
To World War I.
Then the Roaring ‘20s — a period of worship of Mammon.
Then the Great Depression.
World War II. Where we had people who actually joined the American Nazi Party, Charles Lindbergh was outspoken for it.
Then another boom.

Then beginning in the 60s —
Starting a period of violence and social-political upheaval on a massive scale.

Drugs.
War. We had Vietnam, a war that was so deeply unpopular that we spat on the soldiers when they came back after fighting for our freedom. Does that sound like a Christian nation to you? Have we learned anything at all?
Social unrest.
Sexual promiscuity.
Abuse of power.

To the 2000s — and then from the 2000s, another period jam-packed with 200+ years of history.

In just 25 years, we had another war.
Another financial crisis.
We had diseases.
Then we had a pandemic.
And never-before-seen political unrest.

This political story has already played out multiple times in history, not just with Christianity, but with any popular message being used by both sides to gain political leverage. Why are we so unable to see the fact that these people, whom we believe work for us, actually work for dark forces that we can’t see? Yet we’re Christians, and we know that we are fighting battles in the spiritual realm. 

Yet why don’t we see that as something we also fight here at home, within our own borders, in our own leaders, in our own systems? 

Why are we putting so much stock into what America does and not what the people of America do? The ideal of America is great, but the people are not, and it’s time that we become great; it’s not impossible. It’s just uncomfortable to come to terms with the fact that we haven’t lived up to the standard that we have set for ourselves.

But it should be morally great, not just economically, or for one group of people.

But why is America not great? What happened to us? What happened to us striving to be godly as a nation? And not just words, but actions, actually being there for those in need.

Ezekiel spells it out perfectly. He is speaking to Israel, but if you read Romans, you know that he is now speaking to us as well.

'In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow. Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths. In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness. In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution. And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter. In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD . ' Ezekiel 22:7-12

Section II: Asking for Forgiveness

Isaiah 6:5 | And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"

I don’t write this for Nineveh, nor Sodom, nor Gomorrah, nor America.
I don’t write this for any country.
Any certain or specific people — I write this for God’s creation.
Everyone.

I see the sin.
I see my sin.
And I am disgusted by it.

I am disgusted that I have cared more about the world than God.
I am disgusted that I have cared about money, sex, power, and even drugs more than God.

I call myself out.

Woe to me, for shutting up the kingdom of heaven and judging others when I am not worthy to enter myself.
Woe to me for blaming others when I myself do the same thing.
Woe to me for hating the world but indulging in excess, sex, cursing, sin, seeing violence, hating others, and even hating myself.

Did I forget what Jesus came to do and did?

Woe to me for focusing on tithing yet forgetting to be God’s hands and feet in this world.
Woe to me for judging others based on their appearance, their voice, their past, their job, when I am a wretch, someone who is not even worthy enough to be a stable boy in God’s house.
Woe to me, for being a whitewashed wall, outwardly condemning sins to fellow believers yet participating in them when I am alone.
Woe to me, for being outwardly beautiful yet dead inside.
Woe to me, for having the gift of life from the one true God, yet continuously living in sin and hiding it.
Woe to us for claiming that this is not our home, yet we do not spend each day like it could be our last.
Woe to me for praying for Jesus to come back soon, yet I am not doing what He commanded.
Woe to me for setting up riches here on earth, yet doing nothing to store up treasures in heaven.
Woe to me for allowing, allowing, allowing, with the excuse that “it is just the way the world is.”
Shame on me for staying on the sidelines yet praying that God’s will be done.

Woe to me. Woe to us. Woe to the world.

To those comfortable, I tell you:
Wake up.
Your comfort could be your death.

This life is not the same as it was.
Comfort may have been in the past,
But there will be a day when our souls ache, daily and every minute.

You who say, “I am saved” —
Yes, you are.
But are you prepared for war?

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
 — Ephesians 6:12

The Restrainer will be diminished.
Our Lord God will turn His face from this world.
And the keys will be handed over.

Not meaning God isn’t in control, just that He is allowing things to happen.*

Don’t believe me?

Ask yourself this:

• When have there been two world wars in just over a hundred years, let alone even one?
  
• What about a telephone in 1878 and wired to 1973 and wireless cell phones?
  
• Tell me — when in the history of the world could you make a call to anywhere on earth?
  
• When has mass transportation existed? Cars? Trains? Planes?
  
• Since when could humans move to and fro so freely?
  
• Since when could scientists alter DNA, remove disease?
  
• Since when was everything connected globally?
  
• Since when could news spread worldwide in milliseconds?
  
• Since when was there such a concentration of wealth in history?
  
• Since when did five people have $1.3 trillion combined?
  
• Since when did we have Google, Amazon, and social media?
  
• Since when did almost every single person on earth use the same products and services every day?
  

Section III: Questions and Answers

1. “So why now?” Because it has never been this way before. 

Yes, there is nothing new under the sun, but there also has never been this widespread connection across the world. Ask yourself this: What if Paul lived now? Could he have spread the message even further? We all know the answer to that, so why do we deny the facts? There has always been war, but never world wars. There have always been weapons, but never ones that could wipe out the entire world. America and Russia alone have around 5,500 nuclear warheads each. Think that is a coincidence? There has always been communication; even Paul used letters. But tell me, would your grandparents be able to send a message to someone across the world in an instant? Could you read any book ever written whenever you want? Could you learn anything, any topic, no matter how hard, whenever you wanted before now? What about transportation? About 100  years ago, we flew the first airplane that barely went a mile; now we can traverse the world on one tank. Tell me, when has there ever been such surveillance in the world? The older generation claims it all the time that you can’t do the things you did as a kid nowadays. How come? Is it because there are cameras on every street corner? What about the internet? No one could have guessed that in the 1960s, let alone the 1980s, yet it was only 20ish years ago. What about your card you pay with daily? Don’t you think it’s weird that more and more places take less cash? And that during COVID, no one would accept cash? How about artificial intelligence? Have you seen Genie 3 by Google? Where can you create in real-time, real-life worlds and traverse in them? Video games? Movies? TV shows? Music? Politics? Trade wars? When has this ever happened on this stage? Never. 

“Knowledge shall increase, and many shall run to and fro.” — Daniel 12:4

How about this, we can all agree on this one: Read Isaiah 5, but especially “A world where truth is mocked, good is evil, and evil is called good.” (Isaiah 5:20) Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit, and wickedness as with cart ropes, to those who say, “Let God hurry; let him hasten his work so we may see it. The plan of the Holy One of Israel— let it approach, let it come into view, so we may know it.” What does this tell you? What does this sound like? This is people mocking God, saying, “Let Him come, let’s finally see Him, see what He said He’d do, yet never has.”

Can’t you see?

2. “How can you say America is Babylon?” How can you not? 

We have shows called American Idol, Love Island, (put more here). We praise politicians, our Presidents, celebrities, actors, musicians, artists, and comedians more than we praise our God. Even our politicians claim that everything must be from God since we are America. And that could be the case, but have you even read the Bible? Don’t you remember the rain? The rain that flooded the whole earth? Most would’ve thought, “This is just rain, we don’t have to worry.” Remember that God also blesses us by refining us through fire. Babylon overtook Israel for the Israelites to return to God. He even sent His son to DIE for us. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows; there must be rain and storms. You will say, “America has done good”, but have we? We send out missionaries and donations, yet we won’t even give $20 to the person on the corner because we say, “they just need to get a job.” How hypocritical are we? Imagine Jesus said that to us when He found us where we were? Or we say to immigrants, “This land isn’t for you.” What if God said that to us? What if Jesus came for just the Jews and said my message and mercy aren’t for you, you dirty Gentiles? And DO NOT give me the excuse that it isn’t the same. The bullcrap that we are a nation and must protect our interests. That is mularky. Quit LIVING IN THE WORLD. YOU WHO CLAIM THAT THIS ISN’T YOUR HOME, YET YOU SET UP WALLS AROUND YOUR EARTHLY HOME. So if this isn’t your home, then why are you defending it? Defending it from those who need help, and do not tell me that there are bad actors, because, of course, there are. But what did Jesus do? He went and changed them. He did not just shun them in the name of nationalism. Woe to those who put America and its interests over the interests of mankind. Do you want God to ask you why you put your nation above His people? His creation? Quit making excuses to stay in your ivory tower, and thank Jesus that He didn’t. You disgust me if you think that this nation is more important than allowing others to come and reap the benefits of our system. Have you even read American history? You wouldn’t be here without that same opportunity.

What about the things we do? I have already mentioned the shows, movies, celebrities, etc. But what about the fact that capitalism reigns here and, in turn, reigns over the world? We have exported Christianity, but we have also exported greed, pornography, war, false gospels, economic slavery, and the souls of men. All in the name of America. Oh, how must God be disgusted with us! We are the Laodician church!

What about our relationship with Israel? That must mean something? Well, does it when we don’t spread the Gospel to their country due to our belief that they are God’s chosen? They are, but as we all know, God’s chosen, including Christians, need to wake up. So why do we write blank checks yet don’t demand loyalty to the Kingdom of God? 

“They are beloved for the sake of the fathers… but they must hear the gospel to be saved.” — Romans 11:28–29, Romans 10:1–3

Do we even care about Israel’s people? Or just the nation-state of Israel?

3. “But where is the persecution?”

Are you living under a rock? Have you seen the world? The youth of this generation? The old? I thank God all the time that in America, we haven’t yet been drug into the streets to be martyred. But have you seen the news? Heard the songs? Watched the politicians? The shows? How they mock our God and our Savior? Want to see persecution? Open up your phone. Turn on the TV. Sit in a classroom. WALK INTO A CHURCH. There is persecution, and you’d better be thanking God that it hasn’t happened yet and prepare for when it comes. You won’t see lions in coliseums. You’ll see silence in pulpits, truth labeled hate speech, and Christians discipled more by politicians than by Jesus.

(I wrote this before the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and while I did not agree with him on every point, I do believe he put God first. May God bless him and his family. I pray that they stay true to God’s Word.)

We expected war, division, death. But we got something even worse. Lukewarmness. Jesus says that He would rather us be warm or cold. Yet we are neither. We are neither on fire for God nor completely against Him. We play each side in order not to offend anyone, then we champion those who do offend for the wrong reasons. How wretched are we! We are comfortable. You hear it all the time: comfort allows stagnation. Well, look alive, people! We are lukewarm! If we were a godly nation, wouldn’t we be suffering? So ask yourself, if you aren’t suffering mentally, physically, or spiritually over the state of this world, are you living godly? Are we not the hands and feet of Jesus? He would be weeping over Jerusalem and the world again right now.

Around the World, the Church Is Bleeding. Right now — as you read this:

• Christians are being killed in Nigeria and Sudan
• Underground churches in China are raided and bulldozed
• Believers in Gaza and Syria are fleeing or dying
• Faithful witnesses are in prison camps in North Korea
• Pastors in India are beaten with rods for refusing to renounce Christ

Persecution is happening. But you don’t think it is…because it hasn’t touched you yet.

But It’s Already Started Here

No, you haven’t been jailed. But you’ve been silenced. You’ve been discipled by memes, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, TruthSocial, X, Instagram, Facebook, not Scripture. You have been conditioned to laugh at the turmoil of others since “they don’t belong here.” You have been conditioned to think that we have godly people leading us right now. I hate to break it to you, but I have only been able to find maybe one politician who speaks the Word. And haven’t we all been afraid to speak the name of Jesus at work, not because we don’t believe, but because we don’t want to get labeled.

That’s not freedom. That’s pre-persecution. You’re free to worship, for now. But the gods of Babylon don’t mind you singing on Sunday as long as you bow to them on Monday.

4. “If the church is asleep, why haven’t more people spoken up? Why are so many pastors silent?”

Well, just like everything in the world, it’s in the Bible. Revelation 3 speaks of the Laodicean church. And to borrow a book out of the dispensationalism playbook in the church ages, we are in the Laodicean church. The ones who say, I am rich, yet do not do anything. The ones who see harm, violence, yet do not speak out. The ones who allow things to be said without defending them, without defending the cross, because they are rich, because they don’t want to speak out and ruin what they have, because they are comfortable. That’s why you don’t see anything. It’s too uncomfortable to speak out, because we’ve lived with comfort for so long. (BTW, my pastor is great and speaks about this, THANK YOU LORD FOR HIM!)

Revelation Already Told Us

“I know your works: you are neither hot nor cold… Because you are lukewarm, I will spit you out of My mouth.” — Revelation 3:15–16

This is the church of Laodicea, and if we’re honest, this is us.

→ The Philadelphian church is behind us.

→ Laodicea is where we are.

But people still pretend we’re in revival. We’re not. We’re in rot, and Jesus is already standing outside the door, knocking, not inside preaching.

“You say, ‘I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing’ — not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.” — Revelation 3:17

Why won’t anyone speak out? Because of their comfort. Their job. Their friends. Their family. Their paycheck. Their reputation. But aren’t we supposed to pick up our cross and follow Him? So why do we bring all of the world along with us and forget the cross?

And Some Say, “But We’re Not Persecuted…”

No. We’re protected by Babylon. Because we’ve made peace with it. But the truth is:

“The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… and will turn their ears away from the truth.” — 2 Timothy 4:3–4

That time is now. And every silent believer is proof.

5. “What must the remnant do?”

Prepare. Prepare the way for the Lord. I need to. This world is not the same. We all know it, but we don’t want to say it out loud. We see it, yet we turn away from it. We hear it, yet we close our ears to it. Because it’s too uncomfortable. But remember, reading the Bible. Remember hearing about everything that Jesus went through. What Paul went through. What Peter went through. What John went through. What every single one of the disciples went through. That’s what we have to do. And it starts with us. That’s all it starts with. One person.

Don’t think that Jesus isn’t speaking to us. The tree of Israel is real, and remember, Paul said we were grafted in.

Matthew 23:37-39 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’

He would be weeping over Jerusalem again.

And if we were His body… why aren’t we weeping too?

Section IV: “I’m Not Angry at the World — I’m Angry at Us”

There’s nothing new under the sun.
The world has always been broken.
But what breaks me now… what consumes me with holy rage…
is not the darkness. It’s the ones who carry the light… and hide it.

I’m not angry at them.
I’m angry at us.
At the church.
At me.

We claim to be God’s force for good —
But we are the ones dragging this world closer to hell.

We sing songs on Sunday,
but we don’t live those same songs on Monday.
We raise our hands in worship,
but we fold them in apathy while the world is bleeding.
We say “God bless America,”
But we won’t weep for the unborn, the immigrant, the orphan, the deceived, or the lost.

We call ourselves a city on a hill…
But we are asleep in our own towers while Babylon burns around us.

We laugh at sin.
We justify it.
We sell it.
We platform it.

The cross is no longer a place of death to self.
It’s a brand.
A bumper sticker.
A political slogan.

The gospel is no longer the power of God unto salvation.
It’s a platform strategy.
A business model.
A marketing campaign.

And heaven?
Heaven has become a sales pitch.
Not a place of glory.
Not a hope of restoration.
Just another way to get people in the door.

And Almost Every Single One of Us Is OK With That.

But I’m not.
I’m done pretending I’m OK with that.

The time for pleasantries is over.
The time for nice-sounding compromise is done.

“You who love the Lord, hate evil.” — Psalm 97:10

That’s not poetic. That’s prophetic.

And woe to the ones who see evil and say nothing.
Woe to the ones who platform deception and call it revival.
Woe to those who follow it blindly. I do not want to be in front of the Lord and Him ask me why I championed this wrongdoing, this destruction, this manipulation, this torture of His word for political gain.

Woe to the Ones Who Follow It Blindly

Woe to those who never questioned the comfort.
Who never tested the spirits.
Who never paused to ask:

“Is this really from God — or just familiar?”

Woe to those who followed the crowd, the party, the platform,
and never opened the Book.

I do not want to stand before the Lord and hear Him ask:

“Why did you champion this evil?
Why did you excuse this destruction?
Why did you stay silent while they twisted My name into a slogan?
Why did you defend what I came to destroy?”

I don’t want to explain why I aligned with the very system that pierced His hands.
I don’t want to explain why I chose party over prophecy.
Why I waved a flag while ignoring the cries of the broken.
Why I quoted the Constitution more than the Scripture.
Why I stood for nationalism but never fell to my knees in repentance.

I don’t want to be the one who allowed those to manipulate His Word
—to get votes
—to fill churches
—to gain followers
—to protect an empire that God is about to judge.

And If You’re Reading This…

Then let this be your final warning.

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.”
 — 1 Corinthians 10:21

You cannot serve two kingdoms.

You cannot sing “Come Lord Jesus” and then
vote, speak, and live in total denial of His return.

You cannot say, “Jesus is Lord,”
and still give your loyalty to Babylon’s systems.

Closing Plea

Let God ask us instead:

“Why did you burn for truth when no one else would?”
“Why did you speak when everyone else stayed silent?”
“Why did you forsake everything to follow Me?”

Let that be our testimony. Not that we protected America, but that we protected God’s name and His people, all over the world.
